BRIEF PRESENTATION
In 1983, 330 winegrowers – producers of PDO Naoussa zone, decided to establish the Agricultural Viticulture Winemaking Co-operative VAENI NAOUSA, with the aim of exploiting their production. The Co-operative is staffed by a sufficient number of scientists, technologists, employees and workers, who all work together with a common goal: the exploitation of the precious grape of the producers – members, the exploitation of the labor of the vintner and the common efforts, which entail the upward path of the Co-operative. Over 30% of the Co-operative’s production is exported to foreign markets (France, USA, Belgium, Ghana, Sweden, Austria, Spain, Japan, Canada, Cyprus, Germany, Holland, Denmark).
ROLE IN PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
Vaeni Naoussa, through its oenologist, undertakes to inform the Scientific Team about the batching process that is followed during winemaking and the annual production program, in order to precisely determine the product’s sampling rate. It also provides the samples to be analyzed and the final products that participate in the exhibitions.
