BRIEF PRESENTATION
Kiato Union IKE is a constant partner and supporter of local producers, with the aim of highlighting and promoting the region’s products. It has 5.000 producers as well as 4 branches in areas next to Kiato. It is active in the field of selling fertilizers and pesticides, certification of agricultural products through the Integrated Management System, maintains a Subsidies department – OSDE, Consulting services in Rural Development Programs and Organizations of Producers. Its Shareholders include A.C. of Megalo Valto, A.C. of Organic Farmers of Kiato, Women’s Cooperative of Kiato, General A.C. of Krines with activities among others, the Corinthian raisin (concentration-standardization).
ROLE IN PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
Kiato Union IKE, through its agronomist, undertakes to inform the Scientific Team about the batching process that is followed during the standardization of Corinthian raisin and the annual production program, in order to precisely determine the product’s sampling rate. It also provides the samples to be analyzed and the final products that participate in the exhibitions.
