BRIEF PRESENTATION
The Certification Body GMCert – Green Mediterranean Certification was founded in 2008. It is a recognized Organization for Control and Certification of Organic Agriculture Products by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food of Greece, whose operation was approved by Ministerial Decision published in Official Gazette 1722/Β’/03.11.2010 with Approval Code GR-BIO-10 and owns No. 673 CERTIFICATE OF ACCREDITATION from the National Accreditation System for implementing ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17065:2012 Standard. GMCert has developed the ANTIOXCERT Standard, the application of which is implemented in the specific Project.
ROLE IN PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
GMCert as Project Coordinator has designated the Coordinator (person) and takes over the Certification of the ANTIOXCERT Standard in the selected products of the Productive Bodies of the Project Group. It carries out sampling per product batch, sends the samples to the collaborating Research Bodies of the Project Group and issues the Certificate and the Mark license, as long as all the Standard requirements are met. It undertakes the construction of a supporting website, the creation of a DVD and the dissemination of the results on social media, the brochures’ and forms’ publication and the organization of an ANTIOXCERT seminar-meeting.
